Noise vibration survey and monitoring
We undertake noise and vibration surveys and monitoring to suit all needs, including demolition and construction sites, residential development, industrial and commercial installations, and infrastructure projects.
Noise and vibration surveys or monitoring may be required for various purposes, such as: establishing a baseline against which future development may be assessed; determining the specific sound level attributable to a source (e.g. mechanical equipment or plant, leisure and entertainment activities, industrial installations and operations, roads, railways etc), evaluating the sound insulation performance or transmission of building structures; compliance and assurance of demolition and construction activities/sites; post-completion commissioning surveys and monitoring to demonstrate compliance with project specifications or planning requirements; complaint investigation; and on-going compliance monitoring for industrial installations or transportation schemes.
We work with our clients to understand the specific needs of the project and then develop an appropriate and proportionate programme of monitoring to meet those requirements. We employ the latest equipment, providing for automated alerts, remote operation and interrogation of data, which allows us to implement short term or continuous long-term monitoring strategies in an efficient and effective manner. Monitoring data and reports are presented in the manner most appropriate to the needs of the client.
We have developed and implemented monitoring programmes of all sizes, including for major infrastructure projects, requiring upto 90no. noise and vibration monitors spread across numerous worksites and sensitive receptors, ongoing maintenance regimes, investigation of data alerts, and detailed monthly reporting requirements.
